Week 2 – Work, Learning, and Exploring Crete 🇬🇷

During the second week of the Erasmus stay on Crete, the focus shifted more towards structured work and deeper understanding of the technical tasks.

At the workplace, we continued working with systems and projects, especially focusing on understanding the backend and software structure. A large part of the week was dedicated to learning new technologies, reading documentation, and solving technical issues. This included working with existing code, troubleshooting problems, and preparing for further development tasks. Compared to the first week, the work became more detailed and required a better understanding of the systems.

At the same time, the daily routine in the shared accommodation became more organized, and living together as a group felt more natural.

Besides work, we also explored more of the local culture and environment. We visited different places around Heraklion and nearby areas, including quieter locations as well as more lively places. Some evenings were spent going out, while others were more relaxed, for example staying at the house, eating together, or organizing activities like a barbecue.

During the week, we also experienced local traditions, including cultural and religious events that are typical for this time of year in Greece. This gave additional insight into the local way of life.

Overall, the second week was a mix of deeper technical learning, problem-solving, and experiencing the culture and social life on the island.
