Arrival, Work, and First Impressions

My first week in Crete was a mix of new impressions, initial work experiences, and relaxing moments to settle in. Overall, it was a successful start to the next seven weeks.

Everything began on Monday with an onboarding meeting at the agency. There, we got an initial overview of the processes, our tasks, and expectations. It was exciting to see how the work is organized here and which projects we would be working on in the coming weeks. After the meeting, we went shopping together to get supplies for the week. This immediately helped us settle in and get a feel for everyday life here.

Tuesday was our first real workday. Our main tasks consisted of testing and writing bug reports. This meant that we tested applications and specifically searched for errors. We had to document and clearly describe any problems we found so that they could be fixed later. The work was demanding but also interesting because you have to pay close attention and work in a structured way.

Wednesday and Thursday continued in a similar vein. We continued testing, analyzing errors, and writing reports. Over time, we became more confident in using the tools and processes. It was great to see how quickly we could familiarize ourselves with the tasks and gain a better understanding of what was important.

Friday was the last workday of the week. After work, we took advantage of the evening to do something together. We went out for dinner, which was a nice opportunity to wind down the week. Afterward, we went to the Senses Club, where we continued to enjoy the evening. It was a perfect end to the first week.

We took it easy over the weekend. We didn't do anything special on either Saturday or Sunday; we simply relaxed. After the first week of work, this was exactly what we needed to recharge and continue settling in.

Overall, the first week was very positive. I was able to gain initial insights into the work, gradually settle in, and also get to know the first parts of Crete. I'm curious to see what the next few weeks will bring.
