Week 7 – Visitors, Goodbyes, and More Summer Vibes

Week seven on Crete was filled with visitors, relaxing moments, and lots of social activities.

On Monday, I finally had to catch up on my apprenticeship documentation after forgetting about it for a few weeks. After work, I spent the rest of the day with my brother and a friend from Berlin who had also come to Crete. I showed them around the area, and we all went to a restaurant together in the evening.

Tuesday was a special day because my teacher visited me at Psifiakos Kosmos. I gave him a tour of the company and explained our daily tasks and responsibilities. He really liked the workplace and even collected contact information because it could become a future Erasmus destination for other students. After work, we went grocery shopping for a group barbecue and pool party in the yard of our Airbnb in Episkopi.

On Wednesday, I worked on configuring a horizontal terminal with special settings requested by our chef. After work, we enjoyed the sunny weather together and later had to say goodbye to our teacher, who was flying back home.

Thursday was a day off because of Ascension Day. We spent the day relaxing by the pool, and in the evening we visited some friends at their Airbnb and used the jacuzzi together.

Friday and Saturday were mostly about nightlife and enjoying the time with my visitors. On Friday, we went partying at Palm Beach Club, an outdoor club with a huge dance floor and great atmosphere—although the drinks were very expensive. Saturday started slowly with a lazy morning, but in the evening we went out again and had another really good night.

Sunday was the last day with my brother and my friend from Berlin. We spent a relaxed day at the Airbnb, and in the evening we returned once more to the jacuzzi together with our colleagues.

Overall, this week was all about balancing work with social life, showing visitors around Crete, and enjoying the strong friendships that had developed during the Erasmus stay.
